It is a little different from the other HK pistols (USP, HK45, P2000/SK, etc.) due to the addition of new Firing Pin Safety in the P30SK (and VP9/VP40). Tools you will need • 1.8mm punch (or 1/16") • 2.8mm punch (or 3/32") • Small hammer or mallet • A bench block (optional) DISASSEMBLY Step 1 All P30s/P30Ls, including the ones produced in 2012, have the heavy FPBS, despite what was stated by HKCS1 in the HK Cust Svc forum. USP/USPc produced in 2005 (AF) or later will have the light FPBS. HK45/HK45c all have light FPBS. 1) Pull back slide until notch on left side of slide aligns with slide-release-lever's notch. Push out slide release from right side to left side. 2) Push slide forward and off of the frame. Remove spring, remove barrel. 3) Flip slide upside-down and set on punch block. Punch out the rear roll pin.
